Training Agreement

Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the training of my pet and will offer only sound, safe, and responsible training and training instructions. However, I acknowledge that there are certain unavoidable and inherent risks in any canine or feline-related activity, including physical injury to me or to my pet and damage to my property. I therefore assume the risk of any injuries, damages or loss which I might sustain as a result of participating in the Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) training program and I hereby release Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) and its members, independent contractors, officers, agents, servants, employees, and affiliates, and I hereby indemnify such releasees against and hold such releasees harmless from any and all claims, costs and causes of action, known or unknown, actual or contingent, which I have or may come to have as the result of or arising out of my participation (with my pet or otherwise) in the training program, and I waive the benefit of any statute which provides that unknown claims may not be waived. Further, I acknowledge and agree that I am and will remain responsible for the actions of my pet at all times and I hereby indemnify and hold harmless Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) and its members, independent contractors, officers, agents, servants, employees, and affiliates of any and all claims of injury, expense, costs, or damages caused by or related to the actions or behavior of my pet while participating in the training program or at any time related thereto. I also understand that the recommendation of any other product or service is not a guarantee of my satisfaction with that product or service.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations of a group class session must be made at least ten (10) days prior to the first class for a full refund. Cancellations not requested 10 days prior to the first class will be charged a $50 administration fee, unless for an emergency (see section below), to cover time and class materials. Cancellations due to emergencies (loss of family member or loved one, surgeries, illnesses, etc.) are a special consideration, and the trainer will do their best to work with the client to reschedule, if possible. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued. Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) reserves the right to request documentation for medical emergencies to process a full refund. Private Training: All training packages are allowed one session to be rescheduled due to an emergency. Canceled appointments must be rescheduled at the time of cancellation and must occur within one week of scheduled appointment that was canceled. Failure to do so results in forfeiture of that training session. Subsequent cancellations result in forfeiture of those canceled sessions. Group Class: No make-up sessions for linear classes. For modular classes students may attend another class that suits their needs. If the trainer needs to cancel a class/lesson due to illness or weather, Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) will make every attempt to notify you 24 hours before the session is scheduled to begin, and a make-up date will be scheduled.

Payment/Refund Policy

All payments should be made via the PocketSuite client management system used by Smiles Dog Training, unless otherwise discussed. To reserve your spot in a class, payment must be remitted at least five (5) days prior to the start of your first class. See above cancellation policy for group class refunds. Because space is limited in our classes, Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) enrolls participants on a first come, first served basis. Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) reserves the right to move unpaid participants to a waiting list if payment is not remitted within the stated timeframe. All private sessions must be paid for at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. Appointments missing pre-payment may be rescheduled unless alternative payment arrangements have been made. For private training programs, Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) will make every effort to coordinate, schedule and complete all prepaid sessions in a reasonable time frame for all parties. Should there be a lapse in your training, Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) will send three in writing inquiries to attempt to complete your training program. If you fail to coordinate, schedule and complete your prepaid training sessions after 6 months of purchase and after Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) has made three in writing inquiries to schedule your training, your sessions will be forfeited. Since all training programs are entirely dependent on the pet owner's commitment to the implementing the training program, refunds are not available for any services already completed.

Photo and Video Release

Smiles Dog Training (Sara Miles) takes photos and videos of pets during their training plan to track progress. We also use these photos and videos to promote services on social media and our website. Pet owners can opt-out of the photos/videos being used on social media by contacting us at sara@smilesdogtraining.net.
